In the Spirit of Hiroshima

Nativity Catholic Church is sponsoring “In the Spirit of Hiroshima,” a photo exhibit from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum in remembrance of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, August 6th and 9th, 1945. The exhibit is available to the public to view in the gathering space of Nativity Church Monday through Friday, August 5th through the 9th, from 9am to 4pm, and on Sunday mornings, August 4th and 11th.
The Church is located at 1825 11th St. S. in Fargo, with entrance to the parking lot on 18th Avenue. The exhibit comes at a key time as the nuclear disaster at Fukushima is in the news again, heightened tension exists among nations possessing nuclear weapons, Congress works on the defense budget and the management of the nuclear arsenal at the Minot Air Force Base has come under scrutiny.
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops continue to share the goal of abolishing nuclear weapons and moving towards genuine and lasting world peace
