Growing Faith, Seeking Christ–Opportunities offered this fall at Nativity

Here are some opportunities to continue to grow your faith at Nativity:

 

September 7, Thursday: Fargo Area Chesterton Society meets the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. in the Nazareth Room. This year the group will be discussing G. K . Chesterton’s Orthodoxy. Contact Deacon Bruce Dahl for more information.

September 7, Thursday: FMi.d.9:16
Are you in your 20’s or 30’s and looking to meet other Catholic Christians to grow in faith and fellowship? Consider coming to an FM I.d.9:16 Disciples Night. FM i.d.9:16 is a community of singles and marred couples from the area who gather for Mass, a meal, and a talk. September 10, RCIA Sunday at 9:00am to 10:30 am
RCIA . If you are interested in finding out more about experiencing life as a Catholic, contact Chris Steffan at Nativity. RCIA meets Sundays from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the Nazareth Room.

  • RCIA is for those who are 7 years and older, unbaptized, wanting to be baptized, confirmed and receive Eucharist for the first time.
  • RCIA if for those who are from other faith traditions who would like to become Catholic.
  • RCIA is for those who are baptized Catholic, who, for whatever reason were not confirmed and would like to be confirmed.

Contact Chris Steffan if you are considering joining the Catholic Church or would like to complete the Sacraments of Initiation.

September 10, Sunday:
Matthew: The King and His Kingdom, will begin at 1:00 pm in the Nazareth Room. Matthew is a Bible Study featuring Jeff Cavins. The study brings the Gospel of Matthew to life and brings you closer to Jesus. If you were unable to attend the first sessions, you are still welcome to join the next series of classes. September 11, Monday: Heart and Hearth
Monday mornings 9-10 am. Starting Monday September 11, we will be learning about enthronement of the Sacred Heart in the home from the book Jesus King of Love by Fr. Mateo Crawley-Boevey. Heart & Hearth meets weekly for  formation  and encouragement and formation in loving the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

September 11, Monday: The One Thing is Three
If you have ever been curious about the relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and our part in that relationship with the family of God, come to learn more about the Trinity and the Church. Fr. Michael Gaitley’s book, The One Thing is Three , billed as a crash course in Theology, will be the small group study, presented from 6:30pm to 8:00 pm in the Nazareth Room. This study concerning the Trinity will be a book read and a series of DVD’s. ( Workbook and videos are on formed.org.) Contact person: Chris Steffan

Tuesdays: Tuesday Faith Sharing Group
The Tuesday Faith Sharing Group meets from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. The group studies the upcoming Sunday’s readings. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Katie Bruckbauer.

September 13, Wednesday: Women of the Word
“WOMEN OF THE WORD” invites you to an enriching Bible Study and Faith Sharing Group!
All Women are welcome! Please join us Wednesday mornings starting
September 13, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Our group is informal and relaxed! There is NO homework, just 2 hours each week to walk with other women on their journey of faith.

Our Bible Study will be Follow Me ~ Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John

Our Faith Sharing will be guided by the book: Our Lady of Fatima ~ 100 years of stories, prayers, and devotions by Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle
