On Wednesday, March 24, 5:30-6:30 pm, the 5th and 6th graders will provide a dinner before Faith Formation classes. This will be a Taco in a Bag dinner for all families. A Free Will offering will be taken. The proceeds will go toward the purchase of an animal for the International Heifer Project.

What will the rest of the eveing consist of?   What might be your ideas?
Susan and I were discussing that the children might enjoy having their own footprints pressed on long walk ways of paper. We would impress on the children the role that each of them play everyday as they continue “Walking on as Jesus’ Disciples”.

Children would go directly to their classrooms at 6:30 pm and then come to the Gym to have their footprints printed. Might be messy, but fun!
The schedule would be:
Grade 1 6:30 pm
Grade 2 6:45 pm
Grade 3: 7:00 pm
Grade 4: 7:15 pm
Grade 5/6: 7:30 pm

When you have your children in classtime this special night, you could go over Palm Sunday and The Triduum (The Three Great Days).
Together let’s brainstorm some creative ideas on Palm Sunday and The Triduum so it might come more alive for the children.  We have some great handouts for parents and children to become “learners” together.

RememberSoups On!    Susan has set Wednesday, March 3 as the time for catechists and their own children to come together for turkey dumpling soup before Faith Formation classes.    The time set is from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Middle Room.  Bring your ideas to share!    We love to hear from our catechists as to what is on your mind, what is working and what can be done better.
