People in need are able to get food from the pantry once a month.
Young people are able to play in the Y shelter yard.
Tuesday, May 12, the members of the staff of Nativity visited the YWCA shelter on University. Because of the need to know the neighbors in our Parish community, the staff were given a directed tour of the facility and were given insights to life of someone who works at the shelter and to the basics of living in the shelter. The half hour tour included seeing the facilities on main floor and second floor. We also learned that they have an active food pantry for those in need and have access to transitional housing for those in need.
