HELLO COMMUNITY OF NATIVITY FROM YOUR NEW YOUTH MINISTER.
My name is Jordan Buchhorn, and I am excited to say that I am the new Youth Minister at Nativity. I am originally from Victoria, Texas and now reside in north Moorhead with my beautiful wife Monica. I enjoy cooking, fishing, sports, playing guitar, and learning more about our Catholic faith. I first became involved with youth ministry as a volunteer at the age of 18. I also had the opportunity to help with the music ministry at my Parish playing rhythm guitar for Mass, praise and worship and retreats. In 2006 I joined NET Ministries (National Evangelization Teams) where I had the opportunity to travel around the US with 10 other young adults putting on retreats for junior high and high school students (this is also where I met my wife Monica). God has blessed me abundantly in these experiences not only in allowing me to share my faith but also in helping me to grow into a deeper relationship with Him. As a teen, the youth minister influenced me at my Parish. His example of faith spoke a great deal to me and he was instrumental in leading me to Christ. I know that God can use someone in the position of a youth minister to impact young people in profound ways. I hope that I can be an instrument in leading the youth to Christ through the Sacraments and community. I am grateful for this opportunity and am looking forward to serving the youth at Nativity.
