Bethlehem has a special place in the hearts of the people of Nativity Church. Although there is much conflict in the Middle East, the birthplace of Jesus continues to be a symbol of peace to the world. Since 2000, a special project has encouraged people of all faiths to send prayers and a message of peace to the people of Bethlehem, where they are printed and distributed to individuals, schools, and other communities, and are included in interfaith prayers. This year’s effort is being coordinated by the World Council of Churches.
Please e-mail your Christmas messages and prayers for peace before the 25th of December 2009 (Western Christmas) and/or the 7th of January 2010 (Eastern Christmas). Messages can be e-mailed to the Arab Educational Institute at the following address: aei@p-ol.com
