Run Strong, Marathoners

May 3, 2010
By

“They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles’ wings; they will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.” Isaiah 41:31

These words from Scripture must have a special place in the hearts of many of those training for the Fargo Marathon. For those of us who try to be “active bystanders,” we are not only inspired by the hard work of the runners but also by the messages some of them carry. If any of you participants would like to communicate the powerful message of Pope Paul VI –“If you want peace, work for justice.” – I have red iron-on transfers with that message that I would gladly share with you. They would look great on a white or light-colored t-shirt.
And although I cannot guarantee that you would “run and not grow weary,” I can promise you that I will be on the side lines when you run on Oak Street and cheer you on!

Have you ever considered adding more videos to your blog posts to keep the readers more entertained? I mean I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite good but since I’m more of a visual learner,I found that to be more helpful well let me know how it turns out!

We realize that many people learn visually and we work hard to find videos and photos pertinent to our posts. However, it is not always easy to find videos that relate to our articles, and we are not at the point where we are producing videos of our own.

The videos we post on our website are designed to have an faith enriching and/or educational benefit to our readers. Since we are a Catholic Church, we need to be careful that we don’t post videos that are contrary to our teachings of our faith. This sometimes limits are video options, but we rather not post a theologically incorrect video and mislead people.
