CANCER SUPPORT: Nativity Church of Fargo has an Active Cancer Support Group which welcomes persons of all faiths. Receiving a diagnosis of a life threatening disease frequently forces you to take a reflective look at your life. Getting cancer is a lonely event. You think no one can help; you think you are in this alone. The road you begin to travel is scary and uncharted. If you are living with cancer you may benefit from the Cancer Support Group. If you have a friend living with cancer, you may want to encourage him/her to look into the cancer support group. Call Sister Sharon Houle, Parish Nurse, 701-232-2414 ext. 126

Remember. Celebrate. Fight Back. This slogan of the American Cancer Society was very true on Friday, July 31, as the Nativity Cancer Support Group and other families attended the Relay for Life Rally here in Fargo. Remembering- Walking by the many luminary bags decorated with names of people who have had cancer and remembering those who have lost their lives. Celebrating – Watching the survivors and their care givers so gratefully march down the relay path and celebrate life as the crowds cheers loudly. Fight Back – Making people aware of what cancer is and how they can help to raise money to help find a cure and vaccines for the different types of cancer. Part of our team again were Eileen and Bernie from B.E.AWARE , Awareness jewelry specialists, who braved the wind, rain and cold weather and sold more than $500.00 worth of jewelry to contribute to our teams efforts to help with research for a cure. Thank you to everyone who daily helps those struggling with health issues.
