		<description><![CDATA[The Christmas story is filled with a colorful cast of characters that is essential for any good story.  First we hear of a young Jewish woman named Mary, and her fiancé, Joseph.  We hear of angelic messengers and shepherds in a field. We hear of foreign dignitaries who are ancient astronomers being led by the light of a star.  And all of this to tell the story of a child who comes from a place unseen by any human person. Over the two-thousand years that the story has been told additional characters have been added:  a 2nd century virgin by the name of Lucy, a 4th century Bishop named Nicholas have been added to this all star cast.  In addition to this there are the billions of believers, the family of faith, who have celebrated this story throughout the centuries.  The story is central to our Christian faith because it is so much more than just a story about a birth.  It is the story of the incarnation, God becoming human, an event that changed not just the course of human history, but the entire created universe.
