Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick

bread and chalice imageMission Statement

We, members of Nativity Community, live out our baptismal call by distributing communion to those who are ill.  Jesus….”taking the five loaves and two fish, and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds.  They all ate and were satisfied….,”  (Matthew 14:19-20)

We who have received Christ’s love and gift of Himself in the Eucharist, respond through a ministry of love and service.  The Eucharist teaches us about human dignity, calls us to a right relationship with God, ourselves and others.  We are transformed and sent forth to fulfill God’s will by sharing our gifts with others through ministry.  (Nativity Church of Fargo)
