Just dropped off LinC and CYA’s shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child at the collection site today! Pray for the seamless transportation of the shoebox gifts as they are transferred to Processing Centers all over the world.
As we start a new year of CYA, I’d like to invite any Nativity Parishioner, ages 21-39, (married, single, divorced) to attend. CYA is designed for people looking for Catholic friends and support to walk this journey of faith with. Last year we had book discussions on “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis, volunteered at Churches United for the Homeless, YWCA and participated in Operation Christmas Child. We have many potlucks, fun social gatherings and family-friendly events! Please consider joining us on Thursday. (For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to get on our email list.)
Our next CYA gathering is this coming Thursday, October 10th, where we will be starting our first lesson of the “Catholicism” DVD series. The first lesson is called “Amazed and Afraid”. I just previewed it today and it’s great!
Please let me know if you plan to attend on Thursday, so we can get a count of how many servings we will need for our meal and how many copies I will need to make for the lesson.
Looking forward to Thursday!
