Hello Nativity Young Adults!
We need you for our first CYA2 brainstorming meeting on Thursday, October 16th from 6:30-8:30pm at Nativity Church!
CYA stands for Catholic Young Adults. Some of you may have attended a few of our other group’s meetings in the past, some of you have thought about it but haven’t had the time, some of you are just hearing about it today. CYA is made up of young adults, like you, ages 21-39, from Nativity parish who get together a couple times a month to mingle, network and collaborate ways that we can encourage each other to live out our Catholic faith through outreach, ministry and learning.
Our current CYA group has done community outreach projects, such as Operation Christmas Child, volunteer work at the YWCA, Churches United for the Homeless etc. We’ve done book reads in the past, such as “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis and “Rediscover Catholicism” by Matthew Kelly. And we also have had socials and potlucks at each other’s homes and do family-friendly activities together, too.
The current CYA group has been meeting for 3+ years and is composed of about 20 adults. It’s time that we start a new branch of CYA, and we need you to be involved to make it successful!
Please let me know if you plan to attend this Thursday. Appetizers, desserts and coffee will be served.
Looking forward to our meeting!
