Box of Joy Project

Help Nativity Youth & Young Adult Ministry reach it’s goal

of packing 150 Boxes of Joy!

At Christmas, we experience the joy of our Lord Jesus Christ. Gift giving is a wonderful, meaningful part of that experience. Unfortunately, severe poverty deprives many children in developing countries of this joy. Their parents are too poor to provide even one simple Christmas present.

Through Cross Catholic Outreach’s Box of Joy program, you can ensure these children are not deprived of Christmas blessings this year. By packing a Christmas gift box and sponsoring the cost of its shipment, you can deliver a Box of Joy to a child overseas who would otherwise receive nothing.

Nativity Youth & Young Adult ministries are collecting filled boxes and invite everyone to help us!

What: Choose gender and age range between 2 to 14, then label your Box of Joy. Go shopping and
personally select gifts to bring joy to a child — small toys, hygiene items, school supplies, hard candy, etc. (Please no liquids, food or combat items.)  See suggested gift ideas here.

What to Use:  You can use a shoe-box you already have or pick up an official Box of Joy shoe-box at the “Welcome Table” before/after weekend Masses or outside of the youth room between Oct 10-Nov 7.

Cost: Please include a $9 donation to help ship your box to the children oversees.

When to Drop-Off: Boxes should be dropped off at Nativity during one of these designated times:

Wednesday, October 24th during the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, 5:30-7:30 pm

Wednesday, November 7th from 6:30-7:30 pm

Thursday, November 8th during FM i.d.9:16 Disciples’ Night, 5:30-8:30 pm

Boxes can also be dropped off by making arrangements with Jackie (701-232-2414 or jackieg@nativitycatholicchurch.net).
