Deep within us, we humans discover a law which we have not laid upon ourselves, but which we must obey. The voice of this law<br \/>\nsounds in our hearts at the moments in life when we most need it. It calls us always to do what is good and to avoid evil. For we have in our hearts a law inscribed by God.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mary learned in her girlhood to listen to this voice. There in her conscience, like us, she was alone with God, whose voice echoed in her depths. Following that voice, Mary discovered the<br \/>\n\u201clight of life,\u201d and so will we. Indeed, if we but follow that voice, we will be like a tree planted near the running stream, yielding fruit in due season, our leaves never fading, our souls never dry and weary.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, those who follow God\u2019s voice will have the light of life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Share with others or ponder alone<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What is your own experience of being nourished and supportedby God? What gifts has God given you? What \u201crunning stream\u201d waters your soul in times of dryness?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Take action<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are the running stream for one another. We are the ones<br \/>\nwho support and nourish each other.
