The Sunday celebration of the Eucharist is the “source and summit” for our lives as Christians. Preparing children to come to the table of the Lord for the first time is a significant moment in their lives and the life of our Church community. Our preparation process help our children grow spiritually toward an understanding of the power of the Eucharist, and their responsibility to share the gift of Jesus with others. Children must be baptized before beginning preparation for this sacrament. A copy of your child’s baptism certificate will be needed if they were not baptized at Nativity Church.
Regular attendance and active participation in either our Faith Formation process or JPII school program is required for the reception of Confirmation and First Eucharist. All third grade children and above preparing to receive Confirmation and First Eucharist must also have been prepared for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
*The celebration of the Sacrament of First Eucharist along with the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation will take place at Nativity Church with Bishop John Folda. Date yet to be announced.
