For me, the best part of being a Nativity parent, and therefore a Nativity catechist, is knowing that faith is passed from adult to child by example and lived experience, not by mere words or textbooks.
We have wonderful parents at Nativity parish who truly do want to be involved in their children’s faith lives. They want to be able to speak to their own children about God, about religious matters, about morals and values and about the social teachings of the church. I am proud to belong to a parish that “partners with parents” in assisting them to become more capable and confident.
