\n\u00a0The U.S. Catholic bishops have summarized the social justice \u00a0principles that directly affect this issue and\u00a0request\u00a0 that we urge\u00a0 the 113thCongress to\u00a0support immigration reform that
\n\u2022 Provides a path to citizenship for undocumented persons in the country
\n\u2022 Preserves family unity as a corner-stone of our national immigration system
\n\u2022 Provides legal paths for low-skilled immigrant workers to come and work in the United States
\n\u2022 Restores due process protections to our immigration enforcement policies
\n\u2022 Addresses the root causes (push factors) of migration, such as persecution and economic disparity.
\nPostcards to Congress\u00a0listing these principles\u00a0 and calling for their support \u00a0are available at Nativity \u00a0at\u00a0 the northeast entrance to the church and in the Fireside Room.\u00a0 They now require\u00a0 $.33 postage.<\/p>\n
