Your Voice Can Make a Difference

These first grade children in a remote village in Mali, West Africa are waiting on their one nutritious meal for the day made possible by U.S. poverty-focused international assistance. Rather than eating three days a week at school, as they did before this Catholic Relief Services-implemented program started, these children are now eating one meal five days a week. Since this program began overall school enrollment in their community increased by 8 percent for boys and by 16 percent for girls.
