Please keep in mind the following deadlines for contributions credited to the 2011 tax year.
Investment Securities Transfers: Transfer completed by midnight on December 31, 2011.
Cash & check contributions-delivered: Received at the office no later than Noon on December 30, 2011 or placed in the December 31, 2011 5:00 PM mass collection. (There are no office hours on December 31st.)
Cash & check contributions-mailed: Postmarked no later than midnight on December 31, 2011.
Credit Card contributions: Requests for processing must be received at the office no later than Noon on December 30, 2011. (The IRS requires that transactions must be completed by December 31, 2011. (Because of holiday office hours, we have set the December 30th noon deadline.)
Remember, dropping contributions into the offering plate on Sunday, January 1, 2012 with a 12/31/11 date on the check DOES NOT qualify. The IRS is very firm about this. It is important that we follow the IRS rules in order to maintain our tax exempt status. Thank you for your cooperation. When Fr. John Sandell wrote “Our Lives are given meaning by those moments when we somehow sort of see …, the purpose behind all that we are asked to do and bear, he was helping us understand that God is at work in our lives, giving us a purpose, a ministry.Volunteering is much more than showing up—it is ministry.
Time and Talent, our ministry sign up is our opportunity to join with others in our Nativity Community to commit or recommit to some part of bringing God’s love to others. Below is an article that we have posted on our Magazine website – ELECTRONIC VOICE OF NATIVITY. The Electronic Voice’s mission was to be a magazine website that would compliment the VOICE newsletter we send to the homes of all our parishioners.
We greatly appreciate your interest in the Electronic Voice sponsored by Nativity Church of Fargo. The work we have done through this site has been an effective ministry in sharing how our parish lives out the mission of Jesus Christ. The number of visitors to this website has grown in leaps and bounds since it’s inception.
At the same time, we have found that Electronic Voice is a duplicate of our main website and divides the energy of our staff trying to write for two websites. We feel this is not effective stewardship regarding our time and talents and in this case two websites are not better than one.
So we are beginning the process of integrating the two websites. Our regular writers, such as Fr. Kevin, Chris, and Cathy will begin to post on our main website (www.nativitycatholicchurch.net) instead of the Electronic Voice in the near future. We ask for your patience and prayers as we make the transition.
We will leave this site active for some time, as an archival site.

The benefit for parishioners and guests is now they can come to one site receive not only the latest news of events at the parish, they will have the opportunity to read faith enriching articles from one website.

We have now added the draft version of the February 2011 Pastoral Council Minutes to the website.
The October 2010 Pastoral Council Minutes have been updated to reflect the “Approved” minutes. The November 2010 and January 2011 “Draft” versions have been also added to the website.
We are in the process of moving some of our web pages from our welcome page to our new Administration page. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to have everything up and running shortly.
